New Distributors and Continued Expansion into the International Elite Running Community Mark a Banner Year
San Diego, Calif. (PRWEB) March 30, 2014
ElliptiGO Inc., originator of the elliptical bicycle, today announced that 2013 was another exceptional year for the company’s international expansion. The company grew sales of its products globally with strong momentum in a number of key international markets while delivering its 10,000th elliptical bike to a consumer. Adoption by elite runners at the masters, professional and collegiate levels grew to more than 100 professional runners, including 2012 US Olympians Meb Keflezighi, and Julie Culley, UK 5000m-specialist Andy Vernon, Dutch elite-marathoner Miranda Boonstra, and 2000 French Olympian Marc Raquil. In addition, some of the best collegiate and professional running teams around the globe are using the ElliptiGO with their athletes, including Stanford University, the University of Guelph in Canada, and The Oregon Track Club Elite.
Expansion across the globe showed momentum with continued development of the worldwide distribution network. Building on established markets in the UK, Benelux, Switzerland, Germany, and Canada, ElliptiGO established new distribution partners in Brazil, Kuwait, South Africa, and Australia. Growth within the international dealer network included new representation in France, Singapore, South Korea, the Czech Republic, and Slovenia.
2013 also marked the international debut of the sport of elliptical cycling. The inaugural European Elliptical Cycling Championships drew more than 25 entrants from a variety of countries for the 12.5-mile climb up Mt. Revard in France. Over the summer, the “GO Trek,” a duo of British Adventurers who rode through 5 countries in 10 weeks, also contributed to the growing awareness of ElliptiGO. Their effort enabled Squash Falconer to set a 3,074-mile distance world record on the ElliptiGO.
“2013 was another great year for our company worldwide,” stated Bryan Pate, Co-Founder and Co-President of ElliptiGO. “We continue to gain more traction internationally and have customers in over 40 countries now. In addition, the performances of the professional runners who are integrating the ElliptiGO into their training remain strong, and as a result we continue to attract some of the top elite athletes in every new market we enter.”
